About the Area
The small town of Narrows, VA is surrounded by thousands of acres of National and State Forest offering horse trails, hunting, fishing, hiking, birding, photography and mountain biking. The MacArthur Inn sits at the juncture of Wolf Creek where you will enjoy fishing for trout or taking a plunge in the cool waters and the New River, famous for small mouth bass, muskie and catfish. Canoeing, kayaking and rafting are just literally steps away and guides are available upon request for any and all kinds of activities.
It is within site of the famed "Appalachian Trail" which attracts hikers from all over the world. The newly developed Great Eastern Trail and the Appalachian Trail intersect in Narrows, VA. The winding roads of the Appalachian Mountains provide some of the most scenic motorcycle riding in the country.
Nearby Wolf Creek provides a park with picnic areas, a playground for the children, a beautiful duck pond, and swimming in the Summer months.
Narrows Mill Creek Park offers picnicking, fishing, hiking and mountain biking. Beautiful trails range from easy to moderate to advanced. Something for everyone!
